The British Royal Family

Being famous may not have been their goal, but they are anyway. There are many interesting facts about the royal family, like the particular tradition of not letting two family members travel on one airplane, so as not to wipe out the family name, should anything unfavourable happen.

Prince William

Prince William was born in 1982, to Prince Charles and Princess Diana. He is a member of the House of Windsor and was known as the Prince of Wales until he got married in 2011 and became the Duke of Cambridge. He has 11 military ranks, several honours and medals. He courted and married Catherine Middleton in 2011, whom he had been dating since 2003. He was the first to break the family tradition of not letting two family members travel on one flight, when he traveled with his son, Prince George, to Canada.

Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton has become prominent for her style and taste in fashion, which has been tagged the “Kate Middleton effect”. She has appeared on several magazine covers and has made an impact on the British and American fashion line. In November 2010, she was engaged to Prince William and Princess Diana’s ring was used for her engagement. She also received Princess Diana’s diamond and sapphire earrings from William on their wedding, which she stylishly remodeled into a dangle earring. She became “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge” upon marriage. This mother of two and wife of Prince William has recently announced that baby number 3 is on its way.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte

With their status as prince and princess, Prince George and Princess Charlotte will never be out of the spotlight, which they were introduced into on July 22nd, 2013 and May 2nd, 2015 respectively. The birthdate for baby number 3 is yet unknown.
